I came to Salina in 1980 to take over the Salina Central Boys Tennis Team

During my 20 years as coach at Salina Central - we were able to do the following

3 State Championships
4 State Runner-ups
1 Third Place State Finish
8 Straight I70 League Championships
Numerous Regional Championships

During my 20 years as coach - I was blessed to have coached some great players - who are now some of the fathers of our Jr. Players

I also was the Head Boys Tennis Coach at Salina South for 3 years - in which - we were able to do the following

5th Place finish at State
I70 League Champions - a first ever and only time this has been done
Regional Champions
Numerous State placers and qualifiers

I was fortunate that in 2009 - I was inducted into the Kansas Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame
